Loopy Panda

Privacy Policy

Updated 2026-10-28

Loopy Panda is a free crochet tutorial site. We do not show ads, we do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies, and we never sell your data. We keep minimal server logs to run the site, and if you subscribe we store your email address only to tell you about new free patterns. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.

Who we are

Loopy Panda (loopypanda.com) is a small independent crochet studio that publishes free crochet tutorials and amigurumi patterns. For any privacy question or request, use our contact form.

What we collect when you visit

When you open a page, our server records a short log entry so we can keep the site running, fix errors and understand which tutorials are useful. Each entry contains:

We do not store your IP address in our logs. We keep log entries for up to 13 months and then delete them.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not use cookies for visitors and we do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site saves two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme choice, and whether you closed the language suggestion bar. They never leave your device. Fonts and images are served from our own server.

Email subscription

If you subscribe, we store your email address, the language of the page you subscribed from, the date, and a record of your consent. We use this only to send you news about new free tutorials and patterns. We do not share or sell it.

Contact form

If you contact us, we store the message, the email address you give us and, optionally, your name, so that we can reply. We keep messages for up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Service providers and where data is processed

Our website runs on a server in Singapore. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the site and may process your IP address for security and performance under its own privacy policy. We do not use any other third-party service that receives visitor data.

Why we process data

We process server logs because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. We process subscription data only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. We process contact messages to answer your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to its use, and to withdraw consent. Send your request through our contact form. We will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our tutorials are for everyone, but our email list and contact form are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
